1. Accedemos a ésta página para bajarnos el programa y nos registramos para conseguir un número de serie gratis.

Nos vamos a descargar éstos archivos:
VMware-server-1.0.3-44356.tar.gz - SERVIDOR
2. Una vez descargados, nos logueamos como root en una consola, copiamos los ficheros al home de root y los descomprimimos:
$ su -

# cp ~usuario_local/Desktop/VMware* /root
# tar xvfz Vmware-server-*.tar.gz - Nos crea el directorio "vmware-server-distrib"
3.Te nemos que verificar que nuestyros repositorios incluyan

si estan comentados los descomentamos.

Instalamos las fuentes de nuestro kernel en caso de no haberlo hecho antes:

Accedemos al directorio "vmware-server-distrib" y comenzamos la instalación.

Con esto tenemos ya listo el VmWare, en debian total incluyen ademas una manera paar instalar el interfaz de administrador, no la coloque aca porque no es necesaria.
Bien un problema que solemos tener en Acecom con nuestra red NIS es la de agregar un usuario, normalmente un usuario root silvestre haria:
$ su
password:
#adduser nombre_de_usuario_nuevo
y luego llenar los datos y todo cievere
pero no se si es error de instalacion(no sabemos pos todavia no encontramos nada al respecto), o es cosa del servidor nis, que al agregar un usuario con el adduser termina sin agregarlo :S, bien pues nosotros logramos forzarlo para que lo agregue ;a ver si alguien que tiene el mismo problema le sirve lo siguiente.
1.- Agregue el usuario de la manera usual
$ su
password:
#adduser nombre_de_usuario_nuevo
le pedira contrasenia de root , la escribimos y nos pedira la contrasenia para nuestro usuario , tambien la llenamos; nos saldra un error de contrasenia simplemente damos no a la opcion de reintentar.Llenamos los datos correspondientes y terminamos el primer paso.
2.-nos vamos al passwd para ello usamos algo como:
#nano /etc/passwd (si lo deseas en lugar del nano puede ser vi, gedit, etc)
y buscamos nuestro nuevo usuario
nombre_de_usuario_nuevo:x:1009:1009:Daniel,,,:/home/nombre_de_usuario_nuevo:/bin/bash
borramos la x que corresponde al lugar de la contrasenia que esta encriptada en el shadow
y queda algo asi:
nombre_de_usuario_nuevo::1009:1009:Daniel,,,:/home/nombre_de_usuario_nuevo:/bin/bash
con esto guardamos y salimos , fin del paso 2.
3.-entramos a yp
#cp /var/yp
y hacemos make
#make
fin del tercer paso.
4.-ejecutamos:
#/usr/lib/yp/ypinit -m
5.- reiniciamos el demonio nis
#/etc/init.d/nis restart
6.- finalmente entramos a un tty, nos logueamos con la nueva cuenta (se supone que no se necesitara contrasenia para entrar), y damos un
$passwd
y terminamos colocando una nueva clave
Listo con esto ya tendremos nuestro nuevo usuario creado, si se preguntan donde estan las ñ es que uso teclado en ingles y me da flojera estar cambiando solo por una enie xD bye!

Al instalar el paquete "sun-java5-plugin" nos creará los enlaces simbólicos que se muestran debajo, que apuntan al archivo "/etc/alternatives/mozilla-javaplugin.so". Ya no tendremos que configurar manualmente el plugin de java en el navegador Iceweasel.

El paquete "sun-java5-plugin" configura el plugin java en Iceweasel de forma automática, por lo que ya no es necesario hacer éste paso. De todas formas, en caso de que a alguien no le funcione, hacemos lo siguiente para instalar el plugin de java:
# cd /usr/lib/iceweasel/plugins/
# ln -s /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-sun-1.5.0.10/jre/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so
sencillo no?, lo mas importante es que me da los repositorios cosa que io siempre ando buscando y documentando
para que no se maten como yo buscando donde hay cada cosa colocare aca algunas de mis paginas favoritas en donde suelo buscar; con alguna descripcion de ello.
